Needham Inks Introduces Low-MEK CIJ Inks and solvent range

We are pleased to introduce our range of low-MEK continuous inkjet ink that can be compatible with any CIJ printer. Our team of chemists have developed a wide range of inks with less than 70% MEK that provides quality and long-lasting results, every time. Our new ink range offers added benefits such as reduced smell and solvent consumption with lower VOC emissions.

What is MEK?

Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK) also known as 2-butanone, is a colourless, liquid chemical substance. It is commonly used in industrial settings for a number of uses, especially as a solvent for inks.

WHAT Benefits does low-MEK ink have?

Customers using low-MEK inks generally benefit from reduced user interventions, saving your business time spent refilling solvents. This range of low-MEK inks delivers exceptional adhesion onto various packaging materials that are typically used in the food and beverage, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries. Our range of low-MEK inks also has reduced odours compared to MEK inks.

As well as demonstratable advantages for your production, our low-MEK inks have been formulated to meet our customer's needs where MEK is restricted. Meaning that our customers don't have to apply for lengthy import licences each time they order.

What Inks are in your low-MEK INK range?

We have formulated a range of ink to contain less than 70% MEK which can be used in a wide range of CIJ printers on the market. We can make low-MEK inks to be compatible with ANY continuous inkjet printer upon request. All our low-MEK inks are packaged in bottles identical to the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) to ensure that the is no confusion between inks and make-up and they fit seamlessly into your existing CIJ printer.

We have developed a range of colours also and our low-MEK ink range currently is available in Black, White, Yellow, Red and Blue. Other colours are available on request.

Can i distribute your low-MEK ink range in my country?

We are always searching for distributors of our products in every country, we formulated this range of low-MEK inks in order to ensure our customers were able to easily access CIJ inks without having to apply for import licenses or undertake complicated processes. If you are looking to distribute CIJ inks in your country then please contact us.

What applications does low-MEK Ink have?

Our low-MEK inks have the same applications as their MEK ink counter parts and can be used on a wide range of materials including aluminium and PET caps and capsules. HDPE, PE or PET tubes, jars, vials, tablets and containers. Flexible films and packs, blisters, face masks, spray bottles and aerosol. Glass jars, vials and bottles.

Where are your inks and make-up made?

All of our inks and make-ups are made in Britain at our manufacturing facility in Whitchurch, Shropshire, and our research and development facility is located in Newquay, Cornwall, UK.
