How to flush CIJ ink before switching types

Switching from MEK to ethanol or other fluids? This guide shows how to flush your CM750 properly to prevent system damage.

Why flushing matters

Different inks contain incompatible solvents. Mixing them can cause:

• Gelling or thickening

• Nozzle blockages

• Filter clogs

• Sensor faults

Flushing steps before switching inks

1. Finish current print job and stop printer

2. Run Clean Ink System using current solvent

3. Drain tanks and replace with flushing solvent (typically same family as new ink)

4. Run Clean Ink System again

5. Fill with new ink and associated solvent

6. Replace filters and restrictor

Never skip the flush step or reuse filters from previous ink types.
