Learn how to fix the CM750’s no charge error by inspecting the charge electrode, EHT system, and ink stream alignment.
What is a 'No Charge' fault?
This error means the ink droplets aren’t being electrically charged—so the printer can’t deflect them to form characters. Without charge, your CIJ printer can’t print at all.
Common causes & how to fix them
Cause | Fix |
---|---|
Dirty charge electrode | Wipe with approved solvent and a lint-free cloth |
Misaligned ink stream | Use a strobe to check drop path and adjust |
Faulty EHT board | Check for arc marks or voltage output drop |
Worn restrictor | Replace and recalibrate stream stability |
Contaminated ink or thickened fluid | Run Clean Ink System and refresh fluids |
Quick fix checklist
-
Power down and clean the printhead
-
Inspect stream with strobe light for charge-off pattern
-
Test EHT output in diagnostics
-
Replace charge electrode or restrictor if worn
-
Reboot and test print with charge monitor enabled
