Prevent double prints caused by incorrect trigger mode, sensor misalignment, or blocking time settings.
Why it happens
Your photocell is detecting the same product more than once—or not being ignored quickly enough after the first trigger. That causes a double print on the same item.
Common causes & solutions
Cause | Fix |
---|---|
Trigger mode set incorrectly | Use Trigger, not Gate or Ignore |
No blocking time set | Set a blocking delay to ignore double sensor hits |
Misaligned or too sensitive sensor | Reposition or swap to a narrower beam sensor |
Conveyor bounce or vibration | Stabilise line and test print delay timing |
How to fix it
-
Go to
Print Parameters > Trigger Mode
-
Select Trigger and set Blocking Time (e.g. 500 ms)
-
Test photocell alignment with live products
-
If still duplicating, consider encoder mode for tighter control
