The ticket stamper is a handheld device, designed to mark or cancel train tickets. The stampers contain up to 12 numerical or alphabetical wheels, each of which can be manufactured to a specific design. These allow a code to be printed onto each ticket, ensuring that cancelled tickets are fully traceable.
The stamper uses a quick-drying ink cartridge, which allows it to print onto thermal, coated tickets as well as traditional paper tickets. The cartridges can be simply replaced when empty.
Other Zifa Ticket Stamper Uses
As well as traditional train tickets, it can be used to mark tickets on buses or ferries. A perforating version is also available, which punches a hole in the ticket at the same time as the code is printed.
